Reduce a photo or signature to a size in KB

Online forms often say "photo under 20 KB" or "signature 10 KB". In this tool write your KB, add the photo and get a JPG or PDF of exactly the right size. For photos and signatures you can also set the width-height (pixels).

How to use it

  1. Press the button above to open the tool.
  2. Photo, Signature or Document : choose the mode.
  3. Choose the KB the form asks for, or write your own number.
  4. If the form also asks for a pixel size (like 200×230), open "Need Exact Width/Height?" and enter the width and height. This option is in Photo and Signature mode, not in Document mode.
  5. Add the photo or PDF. iPhone HEIC photos work too.
  6. JPG or PDF : choose the format and press Download.

When it is useful

Most forms ask for a size between 10 KB and 200 KB, but every form has its own rule. So use the number written on the form.

What happens to your photo

The photo is shrunk on your phone or computer, in your browser itself and is not uploaded to our server. For details see the Privacy Policy .

Frequently asked questions

How is the exact KB reached?

The tool adjusts the quality and size of the photo until the file gets close to your target. If the photo is already very small, it cannot be made bigger than the target in KB, and the tool tells you so.

Will the photo get blurry?

At very small KB (like 10 KB) some quality is lost, which is unavoidable. Start with a large, clear photo for a better result.

Does the PDF get smaller too?

Yes. Choose the PDF format and the same KB target applies to the PDF. A multi-page PDF may sometimes stay a bit larger, and the tool tells you.

Is it free?

Yes, you can use it with no login.
